Recently purchased the I-comfort Acumen Directions mattress. The mattress felt amazing in the store and seemed like it would be a great purchase. I am 6'0 220 and my wife is 8mos. pregnant and now at about 146lbs. I was hoping this mattress would help her get better rest these last couple of weeks. We have used a spring/coil mattress for the past 16 years and used a 2 to 3 inch memory foam topper which helps for comfort. The Acumen is nothing like I expected, so far all we do is wake up every 2 hours and complain about our backs.We feel like we are sleeping on an army cot! I don't know what to do, we have only had the mattress a week, but with a new baby coming we are both going to have to get some rest. You would think that the technology of today's mattress would be better than yesterday's. Give me grandma's feather bed any day over this.

This bed was great for the first few months we had it, now it sinks in so bad that we cannot even sleep on it. My back aches every morning. I'm disgusted that I paid that much money for something I can't even sleep on.

Mimmi's experience is similar to ours, except the bed turned into a hammock in three months. We suffered with it for another 6 weeks (after Mattress Discounters declined our application for a replacement). We had confidence in Serta, and in Mattress Discounters. What a mistake.

Expensive and lasted only 4 months. Great first 30 days then the Memory foam lost it's memory and became a hammock. You just sink into a hole where you laid before. If you roll over to the other side you have to keep a pillow to prop you up or you roll into the hole on the other side. Now I am hitting bottom at 6 months and it's hurting my back. Sincerely the most expensive and bad product ever. It will be interesting to see what the manufacturer has to say about this disaster.

Purchased the bed 1 year ago and 6 months ago it started to really hurt our backs. We wasted our money and harmed our backs.

Frist time I got in the bed I thought to myself oh yes nice going to get some nice rest, but that night I tossed an turned got up in the morning with the worst back pain ., well I thought well its new needs broke in night after night wow more pain , well I about was ready to give it away, took me over 30 days to break it in till I was able to get a full night sleep , it was like sleeping on wood when your sleeping stiff I would say but I would never tell anyone to buy this after all I went thu with it .

We tried the bed out at the store and it seemed quite comfortable. I was looking forward to trying it out at home. After a few days i could tell that i wanted a softer mattress. we are currently in the process of using the 120 day sleep trial to get a new mattress, one that is softer like maybe the wellington. For the amount we paid for this mattress and from the reviews we read online and in store, i really expected to be sleeping on a cloud. It feels more like im sleeping on an inflatable couch.

The mattress seemed perfect in the store; the description, ratings, and 25 year warranty. We were sold. It was amazing to sleep on...for about a month. After that my husband and I noticed it started to feel like we were sleeping in a bowl and it was very uncomfortable. No matter what position we slept in we felt lopsided and like we were slipping down into the middle of the bed. It killed our backs!! I think the memory foam bed by Serta is a good idea, but they just haven't perfected it yet. Also, the bed would be perfect for one person.

I kinda walked into the beds I purchased, my boys needed mattresses but i had no idea i would have been buying beds yesterday. i seen a great deal on the hybrid mattress in the store where i was, i tried it out and was sold I bought 2 for a amazing price. they were having a great sale! they were firm which i love and comfortable as well. now i just hope in the months to come they hold the firmness because my boys are high school football players and there big boys. I am also thinking next time i personally need a new mattress i might be leaning towards a hybrid as well depending on how they hold up.

I love the feel on my back as I sleep thru the night

The first night i slept on the new serta mattress was like WOW! I have lots of problems sleeping and i slept amazingly. The morning of i felt refreshed and charged. Some of my pain has subsided as well and have had it only one week. You should try one you'll love it!

When I first tried this out in the store it was soft but supportive. Since actually having mine I don't feel that way. By the time you get a mattress protector and fitted sheet on, it kind of compresses the top and it doesn't feel like a cloud anymore. That being said, we had a box springs and mattress that was fairly old and I woke up with a backache every morning. Since getting our Serta no more backache. I also purchased this because we didn't want all memory foam and something that slept "cooler". Unfortunately I have not found this to be the case with this mattress. It isn't uncomfortably warm, but I don't see that it helps with cooling which is a bit of a disappointment. Overall it is much more comfortable than our old one and no backache so it's a win for me.

I have slept two nights on my new Serta and it is very comfortable.I look forward to many great nights of sleep on it.
